Collaborative Research Project Call (compatriots call) 2016 winning projects are nominated. Overall, 38 project proposals were submitted for the call of 2016, out of which 10 proposals were cancelled due to their incompliance with the call terms and conditions. Proposals were cancelled by N144 Decree of SRSNF Director General, dated July 13, 2016. International evaluators nominated 12 proposals for funding. The winning project authors must act in accordance to the Decree of the SRNSF Director General and submit project documentation within the deadline specifies in the call announcement, otherwise grant contracts will not be concluded!

Overall, 231 proposals were submitted for the call of 2016, out of which 61 proposals were cancelled due to theirincompliance with the call terms and conditions. Proposals were cancelled by N177 Decree of SRSNF Director General, dated September 6, 2016. The evaluation panels nominated 76 proposals for funding (Decree of SRNSF Director General).   Decree of SRNSF Director General on the winning project proposals The winning project authors must submit a document from the specific higher educational institution proving the status of a PhD student, at the foundation office no later than September 23, 2016, 18:00 . Documents submitted after deadline will not be considered!

The goal of travel grants is to support Georgian scientists to participate in international activities in order to strengthen the local scientific potential by exchanging information and experience between Georgian and international scientists. Thus, to help Georgian scientists to integrate into international scientific communities. Overall, 74 proposals were submitted for the call of 2016, out of which 8 proposals were cancelled due to their incompliance with the call terms and conditions. Proposals were cancelled by Decree of SRNSF Director General. The Project Evaluation Committee evaluated the submitted project proposals in line with criteria approved by N30 resolution of Government of Georgia dated February 20, 2008, and nominated 45 project proposals for funding. On 5 August 2016, 68 proposals were submitted for the call “Scientific prize for outstanding scientists/groups of scientists” announced by LEPL - Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation. The proposals were submitted in the following scientific fields: 1.       Exact and Natural Sciences – 36 proposals 2.       Engineering and Technologies – 6 proposals 3.       Medical and Health Sciences – 5 proposals 4.       Agricultural Sciences – 5 proposals 5.       Social Sciences – 5 proposals 6.       Humanities – 3 proposals 7.       Georgian Studies – 8 proposals On September 2, 2016, the call evaluation committee (N167 decree of SRNSF Director General of 12 August 2016 ‘on the call evaluation committee’) evaluated all 68 proposals in line with the call criteria. The committee evaluated the proposals according to the following system: A+ - Excellent A - Very good B - Good C - Satisfactory The evaluation committee announced the winners in 4 categories of the call. Overall, 2 proposals were submitted for the call of 2016. Project Evaluation Committee evaluated submitted proposals in line with the criteria under N57/n Decree of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia of June 9, 2016.
